Marco Peri the founder of Ulistra, has a master's degree in mechanical engineering and is a certified business consultant for small and medium enterprises. He has been working as a consultant for startups for the last 7 years, creating over time Ulistra’s team of consultants, who share his vision and passion for new business development. “As a start-up lover, it was not always all sunshine and rainbows: I had to face and experience many pitfalls, thanks to which I can offer real solutions to problems.”

Marco, The founder

My passion for Startups was lit in 2011 when I designed an innovative self-driven vehicle to improve productivity in vineyards as the final project for my master’s degree in mechanical engineering. I was working with a friend of mine and we were very excited by the idea of building something new, something that could improve the quality of work. We didn’t know anything about business, so we got into contact with many people to show our idea. Unfortunately, the only answers we could get were like “It is very hard to build a business if you do not have experience”, “you need a lot of money…”, “how are you going to do that..”. Overwhelmed by problems and limits, eventually, we decided to drop the idea. It was a harsh experience, and today, looking back, I can say it was wrong to give up.
But I learned something about myself: I love challenges and I hate to fail them. That experience made me want to learn more about the process of creating a business, tackling problems, and finding ways to go beyond “alleged” limits. So, after two years as Project Management Officer in a multinational company, I finally decided to enter the fascinating world of startup enterprises. I completely dived into the Startups’ environment experiencing it from the inside while learning as much as possible. I started working as a Business Developer across different realities. I was involved in market analysis, and marketing strategy with a focus on understanding markets and customers’ needs, to help effectively commercialize innovative products. Step by step I also took ownership of sales aspects, where I got to define market-entry strategy in international markets, and manage the relationship with partners and investors.

As I was growing professionally, I got to see how Startups are thrilling but uncertain, and a correct initial strategy is key. I decided to specialize in the early-stage development of new enterprises, to contain the levels of risks involved and help build a healthy venture. I approach companies with a 360-degree view, knowing how both external and internal factors play important roles
This amazing journey fired up my passion, so I got certified as Business Consultant and in 2019 I launched Ulistra, a consulting firm with a strong mission to provide comprehensive and effective plans to entrepreneurs with new ideas willing to hit the market.
